Chinese painting kingfisher painting appreciation 国画翠鸟

Today in this Chinese painting kingfisher demonstration video, we are going to show you how to paint king fisher bird in Chinese painting.

Chinese painting is a traditional art form that has existed for thousands of years. This Chinese painting kingfisher demo is done by Steven Fang Yucheng (www.stevefang.com)

The pointed green jade is the feather of kingfisher. Before the dyeing process was manufactured, kingfisher feathers were naturally one of the few decorative materials, and were often used by jewelry craftsmen to inlay with pearls, precious stones, and gold tired silk. The use of Cuiyu for decoration has a long history, perhaps dating back to the Warring States period. “Han Fei Zi Wai Chu Said the Upper Left” once described the “buying huizhuzhuzhu” story, and the box it mentions “compiled with feathers” should be decorated with kingfisher feathers.

Kingfishers are a family of small to medium-sized, brightly colored birds in the order Coraciiformes. They have a cosmopolitan distribution, with most species found in the tropical regions of Africa, Asia, and Oceania.
